Robotic Endoscopic Aortic Valve Replacement
T. Sloane Guy.
Division of Cardiac Surgery, Department of Surgery, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA, USA.

Here we present a case of a 60-year-old male with severe aortic insufficiency and bicuspid aortic valve who underwent robotic endoscopic aortic valve replacement. Key technical features we aim to highlight include: the use of a small eight-millimeter working port; cryoanesthesia for intercostal nerve blocks to reduce postoperative pain; percutaneous cannulation for cardiopulmonary bypass; and barbed nonabsorbable sutures for closure of the aortotomy, left atriotomy, and pericardiotomy.
